Brands Supported

At A.S.A.P. Spares we can provide you with new or used spare parts for the following car brands:

Opel

As they would say, this was the one that started it all. A.S.A.P. Spares originally began our spare parts company with the main focus on the German brand, Opel.

opel sparesAs a well known and established brand in South Africa, chances are that you will see an Opel Corsa very often when driving around your local area. While Opel used to be distributed through Delta Motors up until 2003, their models included the Kadett, Corsa, Ascona and Senator. Today the Opel distributor is none other than Chevrolet and only two passenger car models are available to the South African market, namely the Corsa and Astra. They also have a commercial range which consists of the Vivaro and Opel Combo.

Chevrolet

chev sparesAlso known as the Chevy, Chevrolet is one of the big American car brands. Produced by General Motors Company (GM), Chevrolet has been a household name in South Africa since the 1960s with the advertising jingle "braaivleis, rugby, sunny skies and Chevrolet" epitomising the way of life in SA during the 60s and 70s.

During the 1980s, however, GM chose to divest in South Africa due to the political climate, but made a comeback in 2001. Today you will be able to find the following models in the Chevrolet range:

  • Spark
  • Avea (Hatch and Sedan)
  • Cruze
  • Optra
  • Orlando
  • Captiva
  • Lumina (UTE and Sedan)

Citroën

citroen sparesThe well known French car brand has been in South Africa since the 1960s, most notably with its Citroën DS model. During the sanctions against South Africa because of the political climate, the Citroën brand disappeared for some until quite recently when it made a comeback. Today the Citroën brand is well established with a number of models available consisting of the C- and DS ranges, as well as the Dispatch Passenger model and the Relay vans.

When it comes to new and used Citroën spare parts, A.S.A.P. Spares is the only place to go as we are the only place in Gauteng specialising in Citroën.

Renault

renault sparesMany times people are told not to invest in the French car brand Renault, especially if you are living in South Africa, as their parts are expensive and in case of used spare parts, difficult to find. This is only true if you haven’t been to A.S.A.P. Spares.

The history between Renault and South Africa goes back as far as 1953 when the 4CV was first imported by Curries Motors. Five years later Renault Africa was established, but in 1985 Renault too decided to divert from the South African market because of the political climate, but still importing vehicles through Imperial Cars Imports (ICI). It was only in 2002 that Renault once again decided to re-enter the South African market by establishing Renault South Africa. Since then they have been able to re-establish their brand with encouraging results. Today they offer an extensive passenger and commercial range, including the Clio, Mégane, Koleos, Sandero, Logan, Twingo, Fluence, Scénic and the commercial Kangoo Express.

Saab

saabi sparesStylish and luxurious, the Swedish brand that is Saab is not one that you see very often on our roads. Only for those with a particular taste in cars, Saab is sadly no longer sold in South Africa and because of this, Saab spare parts are quite difficult to find. Thus, if you own a Saab and want to make sure that you keep it in tip-top shape, be sure to call upon A.S.A.P. Spares if you are looking for Saab spare parts.

Suzuki

suzuki sparesSuzuki is synonymous with the word “motorcycles” as they have won numerous awards for their motorbikes, which includes a number of superbike titles, but there is much more to this Japanese brand than meets the eye.

Suzuki had a humble beginning that dates back to 1909 when the multinational corporation was first founded by Michio Suzuki in Hamamatsu, Japan. Although they first built weaving looms, Suzuki realised that there was a need for small and practical cars…and so began the brand we know today.

In South Africa, Suzuki has seen quite the revival over the last couple of years and today you see numerous new models on our roads, including the Alto, Swift, SX4, Jimny and Grand Vitara. There’s no denying the fact that Suzuki has remained true to its commitment to build technologically advanced and reliable vehicles, which is why we chose to become a provider of quality Suzuki spare parts.
